Stock up for spring gardening at Waltham’s popular plant and seed sales
Local gardeners can jump-start the spring growing season at the popular plant sales hosted by the Waltham Garden Club and Waltham Fields Community Farm this Saturday. UPDATE: The Lyman Estate Greenhouses are holding their annual Herb Sale this Friday and Saturday.

The Waltham Garden Club will take over the Senior Center parking lot for its popular annual plant sale and seed giveaway on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.
This much-anticipated event is one of the club’s two major fundraisers, supporting its year-round programming and community beautification activities. Shoppers will find a wide variety of plants suited for different garden conditions — from full sun to part shade and full shade — all offered at reasonable prices.
In addition to the plant sale, visitors can pick up free seed packets, making it an excellent opportunity for both seasoned and first-time gardeners to stock up for the growing season.
The Garden Club encourages residents to come early for the best selection and to chat with members for gardening tips and advice. Proceeds from the sale help fund local projects that promote horticultural education and enhance Waltham’s public spaces.
The Waltham Senior Center is located at 488 Main St. For more information about the event or the club’s community work, visit the Waltham Garden Club’s website.
