After a tough life as a street cat, Benny seeks a safe home

Meet Benny, a handsome, soulful 5-year-old gray cat who has clearly lived a dozen lifetimes.

When he was found outside, he carried the physical scars of a tough life on the streets, but those scars don’t tell the whole story. Beneath that rugged exterior is a gentle, resilient boy who is waiting to experience the safety of a real home.

Benny is FIV+. It’s important for adopters to know that FIV-positive and FIV-negative cats can happily live together. FIV is transmitted only through deep bite wounds — not through grooming, sharing bowls or normal play, so in a stable, friendly home, there is minimal risk to other cats. FIV+ cats live long, full, happy lives with a normal life span, and Benny is no exception.

He has been through so much, and you can see a touch of sadness in his eyes — until the treats come out! He absolutely lights up for his favorite snack: Churus. It’s a wonderful moment to see this resilient guy perk up and remember that life can be sweet.

He is now fully vetted — neutered and up-to-date on all his shots — and is ready for the next chapter of his life. Benny is looking for a patient, loving human who understands that a cat like him needs time to realize he is finally safe. In return, he’ll give you a kind, gentle presence and a heart full of gratitude. Please give Benny that chance.
