Skateboarder injured in Main Street crash
A skateboarder was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Friday night, authorities said.
Waltham police, firefighters and Armstrong Ambulance personnel responded around 10 p.m. to the intersection of Main and Bacon streets for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
The driver remained at the scene. Traffic in the area was briefly affected while emergency crews treated the victim.
First responders found the skateboarder in the roadway with injuries, according to the police scanner. Firefighters and ambulance crews began treatment at the scene before transporting the person to the hospital.

Skateboards, E-Scooters, E-Bikes all on Waltham’s narrow streets sharing the road with cars, trucks and busses. And, every few weeks there’s another serious injury. When will City Hall recognize the problem and pass new safety regulations to limit these to off-road/sidewalk only?
