Court Report: New Hampshire man facing multiple firearm charges

A Manchester man is facing multiple firearm charges following an arrest on July 28.

Schleiden Meneide, 37, of 265 Village Circle Way, Manchester, New Hampshire, pleaded not guilty to 15 counts of possession of a large capacity firearm, two counts of improper storage of a large capacity firearm, one count of possession of a silencer with the intent to use or sell, one count of possession of ammunition without an FID card and a fugitive from justice charge.

On July 28, the Manchester, New Hampshire, Police Department informed the Waltham Police Department that Meneide, who had an arrest warrant for assault and firearm charges, was possibly staying at the Best Western Hotel at 380 Winter St., according to a July 29 press release from the WPD. 

Officers with the WPD and members of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council responded to the hotel to take Meneide into custody.

A search of Meneide’s hotel room found an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with a suppressor, four 9mm handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and firearm-related items.

Judge Ellen M. Caulo sent Meneide to the Middlesex Jail as he awaits a detention hearing on Aug. 1.

Other court actions

Gaby Sandoval-Matute, 30, of 83-1 Lexington St., pleaded not guilty to withholding evidence from a criminal proceeding, conspiracy, assault and battery with a firearm and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at her arraignment on July 24. Judge Caulo sent Sandoval-Matute to the Middlesex Correctional Institute in  Framingham after she failed to post a $7,500 bail. Sandoval-Matute awaits a probable cause hearing on Aug. 28.

Joseph Keane Jr., 36, homeless, of Waltham, pleaded not guilty to trafficking methamphetamine, a motorized scooter violation, negligent operation of a motorized vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon and three counts each of possession of class B and E drugs with the intent to distribute at his arraignment on July 28. Judge Caulo ordered Keane to be held at the Middlesex Jail until the court decides whether he is a danger to the public. More information on the incident can be found here and here.
