Under the shade of trees with a gentle breeze, more than 50 people gathered last Saturday for the Wellington Fields Lemonade Social at the historic Wellington Fields property on Trapelo Road. After enjoying light refreshments and hearing from representatives about progress being made on site, many attendees strolled the pathways.

Restoration of the Wellington Fields property is being carried out by a coalition of supporters, including numerous volunteers from the Waltham Land Trust, Mayor Jeannette A. McCarthy, Ward 3 Councilor Bill Hanley, the city’s Consolidated Public Works and Recreation Departments and Rangers Adam Green and Issac Berger.

  1. Where is Wellington Fields on Trapelo?? I grew up and brought my children up on Trapelo, and don’t recall a place with that name.
