Court Report: Waltham man jailed after failing to post bail

William Childs, 41, of 211 College Farm Road, Waltham, pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, trespassing and two counts of receiving a stolen credit card at his arraignment on Aug. 20. According to a police report, Childs was arrested by Waltham Police for the alleged offenses following an incident at 191 Hardy Pond Road at approximately 1:05 a.m. that morning. Judge Ellen M. Caulo sent Childs to the Middlesex Jail after he failed to post  $1,000 bail. Childs awaits a pretrial hearing on Sept. 30.

Steven Dinauta, 29, of 97-3 Lyman St., Waltham, pleaded not guilty to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at his arraignment on Aug. 25. Dinauta was arrested by Waltham Police for the alleged offense following an incident on Aug. 22. Dinauta was released from Waltham District Court on the condition that he continue receiving mental health treatment, taking prescribed medication, refrain from abusing the alleged victim and appear for his pretrial hearing on Oct. 2.
