Michael Gaudet Jr, 1993–2026

Michael J. Gaudet, Jr., of Waltham, died Thursday, April 23, 2026 at his home. He was 32.

He was born in Newton on Oct. 22, 1993 and was raised in Waltham.  He was a graduate of Waltham High School and worked for years as a landscaper. Michael was an enthusiastic fan of the Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox.

He leaves his children, Caleb Gaudet and Ahlani Gaudet-Morrell; his parents, Kristie L. Keane and Michael J. Gaudet (Tracy Kinney), both of Waltham; his sisters, his twin Michaela Smolinsky (James) of Framingham and Marissa Jurgelewicz of Newton; his niece and nephew, James, Jr. and Myla Smolinsky; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Michael’s life by gathering for an evening wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, May 4 from 4p.m. to 8p.m. and again at 11a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham where his graveside service will be held at 12p.m.
