Paul Brasco departs Brasco Family Funeral Homes

Paul Brasco

Waltham City Councilor Paul Brasco has left the local family funeral home business he joined in 1995 for Eaton Funeral Homes, a multigenerational funeral home business serving Needham and Newton.

Brasco, who serves as a councilor-at-large, could not be reached for comment about the reason for the change.

He is one of the third-generation Brascos to join the business. Leo and Mildred Brasco opened Brasco Funeral Home in 1943 on Moody Street. In 2026 Kerrie Brasco Smith became the most recent member of the family to join, and the business was renamed as Brasco Family Funeral Homes, with locations on Moody Street and Trapelo Road.

Eaton Funeral Homes welcomed Brasco with a brief note on its home page. In its staff listings, the firm noted that Brasco is a 1993 Waltham High School graduate and one of the youngest individuals ever elected to Waltham City Council, where he has served on nearly every standing committee and held leadership roles. He and his wife Stacy are residents of Waltham and have three children.

Eaton Funeral Homes has been in business since 1818 and says it is “one of the oldest family-owned funeral directorships in all of the United States.” Its history spans six generations of Eatons.
