Car strikes traffic signal on Newton Street

Waltham Police and Fire responded to 111 Newton St. for a reported motor vehicle crash around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 

Upon arrival, emergency crews found a vehicle that had struck a traffic signal pole. No injuries were reported, and the driver remained at the scene.

The damaged traffic signal was evaluated following the crash while crews worked to secure the area. Traffic was briefly impacted as the scene was cleared.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
