Waltham wraps up the week with classic mid-May warmth, but a shift toward a more unsettled weather pattern takes hold heading into the weekend.

A pair of weak disturbances bring several rounds of scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm between Friday evening and Saturday night. While no day looks like a total washout, outdoor plans may need to be flexible—especially during the late afternoon and evening hours.

A cold front passes through on Sunday, clearing out the humidity and setting the stage for a noticeable drop in temperature.

Early next week will feel much more like spring, with crisp mornings, comfortable afternoons, and a refreshing drop in dew points. Highs in the 80s give way to 60s, and while clouds linger at times, several dry and breezy days are expected to start the new workweek.

Overall, the week brings a little something for everyone—whether you’re eager for summery warmth or a good sleeping night with the windows open.
