Two more Waltham restaurants get green light for outdoor dining
Two more Waltham restaurants were approved for outdoor dining on Moody Street at Wednesday’s License Commission meeting. The City Council and Traffic Commission had pre-approved the applications and sent them to the License Commission for review.
The permits allow Guanachapi’s (273 Moody St.) and Pho & Spice (475 Moody St.) to block off parking spaces in front of their shops for outdoor dining. The Building Department will give final approval once the barriers are installed and the parking space setup is in place. The outdoor dining season lasts from May 22 until Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

In other business the commission:
– Approved an application request for a change of manager from the Waltham Restaurant Group Inc. (d/b/a Tio Juan’s Margaritas) at 211 Moody St. from Nicole Grasso to Susan Marie Jimenez.
– Approved a request for a one-day all-alcohol permit from David Crest representing Boston Commandery Masonic Lodge for an event at the Paine Estate, 100 Robert Treat Paine Drive, on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, from 5 to 10 p.m., for approximately 85 people.
